I suppose this item would work. But, it doesn't come with the transmitter that goes in the top of the fan. The picture is deceptive. I didn't return the item. I just ate the cost. Wish I could donate. Win some;lose some.

My old remote didn’t have a model number. I bought this one and just had to switch 1 of 5 buttons for it to work. 4 stars because the batteries want to jump out so make sure you don’t damage the battery cover.

The fan came with a remote but no holder for the wall. This fit the requirement perfectly. The original remote will sit at the bedside tale while this one will be used when entering the room. Very pleased.

I lost my remote... then bought this to replace it. Pretty easy to set up. pick a code on the remote then use the same code on the receiver that is in the fan. You don't need to buy both the transmitter and receiver. Also, mounts on wall so hopefully I don't lose this one.

The ergonomics of this remote are pretty bad. I keep it on the night stand and I'm always turning on the light instead of operating the fan and vice versa. Since you can't feel for how the remote is oriented in your hand (its an oval), its hard to operate without turning on the light (which you need the remote to do!). That said, it does work.EDIT: brought it down to one star.. there is a *very* bright blue LED that illuminates when you press a button on the remote. Its extremely annoying when operating the light at night, its bright enough to light the room!
