These are a very good quality and are nicely insulated. These will be perfect for the Idaho winter.

The pants are not true to size. I ordered a 14/16, but the fit was a 10/12

I have purchased several pairs of these pants. The things I like about them are as follows:1. They make a nice outer layer on colder days and are roomy enough for the kids to be able to move freely when they are wearing their base layers underneath for warmth.2. They have good pockets to hold the rocks and pinecone treasures my kids pick up in the woods.3. They are durable. My son tears holes in the knees of his other pants when he is climbing rocks, but these pants have held up very well. We have a pair from three years ago that we can pass down to the next kid!!!4. The most important thing is that they keep my kids dry on our many outdoor adventures in our rainy climate. Other so-called "waterproof" pants always left my kids damp and shivering. I have been very pleased that when we take these pants off, my kiddos mid and base layers are dry underneath!

The look and feel of the pants was in line with my expectations. The sizing was accurate as well. They seem to be durable and made of good quality materials as they have a nice weight and thickness. The recipient said they were both warm and comfortable. We can't wait to put them to good use as the weather continues getting colder!

So far, I haven't had any problems with these pants, other than an odd smell when I opened the package, but that smell went away. The materials feel strong and the colors are true to the product description. It's hard to say exactly how warm/comfortable they are, since my kid is the one wearing them, not me, but they seem like they're warm. Probably not the absolute warmest available on the market (I'm sure you could find more expensive options that are warmer), but I think they're good for the price point ($30 at the time of this review). I don't think they're necessarily warmer than traditional snow pants (I honestly don't know), but they're definitely less bulky, which can be a real plus.If you want pants to keep your kid warm, but you need something that isn't bulky, I think this is a decent option.

The inside of these pants have all the seam sticking out. If your son has sensory issues they would hate the inside feeling of these pants.. like my son did!
