Got this for my 7-year-old and it has worked great for him for winter activities. At first I was worried it would be too small for him since it is very skinny, but it stretches well and he says it's very warm.

My 10-year-old son hasn't worn this outside yet, but when he tried it on, he said it was comfortable and fit well. I thought it looked tight, as it was hard for him to pull down over his head; he had to really yank it down, and he's on the smaller side for his age so it might be even more snug on kids of average size. That said, once he had it on, he said it fit fine. I ended up cutting earholes out on both sides to help it stay up better, because otherwise it had a tendency to slip down over time. The material is soft but not terribly thick, so I'm not sure how warm it'll keep him if the temperatures go subzero like they do during Midwestern winters. Time will tell!
