They don’t work. We received our first pair and one boot didn’t light up. Ordered a pair to exchange and they came and neither lit up.

I was pleased that both boots lit up since many wrote theirs did not. But my issue is with the color. It is not a vibrant hot pink as it looks online. They are still cute and the price is really good so we are keeping them and my grand daughter who is only one years old doesn't seem to mind. ;)

These boots are so cute and are designed for a child to be able to put them on by themselves. They light up in the heel making them fun for a kid to wear but also easy to see them in the dark.
