This wooden sandbox is perfect for our son. He loves it and plays in it 2-3 per week. My wife was looking at plastic sandboxes, but I wanted to get something more classic (ie., wooden). And this certainly fits the bill. It's a well-built product, especially for the price. Putting it together wasn't mindless, but it was pretty easy. Took us about 15-20 min. Good size for 1-2 kids. The cover is great. When we're not using it, it's pretty easy to collapse and cover the entire box, which is critical to keep animals out. Great buy!

First of all, I like that it is made of wood. It’s the perfect size for toddlers and the technology of the lid is very smart - it both gives shade and prevents from rain, animals poop etc when closed. We’ll see the durability with time.It was pretty easy to assemble and there were no missing parts.The only downside is that it doesn’t have any bottom, so we had to buy lining separately and it wasn’t very convenient.

Edit: The seller reached out and offered me a full refund which I very much appreciate as I will most likely have to replace this sandbox within the next few months for the safety of my child. So I'll add a star for good after sales management.The middle plank supporting the sail snapped after 3 months, the sail looks worn and disgusting, the screws are rusty and are falling out and we've had this less than a year. The wood is splitting in some areas. Very disappointed. It's a sandbox it should be able to withstand weather outside. Can only recommend this if you put it in a sunroom or something maybe where no sun, rain or anything can get to it. Very disappointed, filed a complaint with Amazon for the snapped plank but was told nothing could be done.

I bought this sandbox for my grandson!s 4th birthday. He plays in it every day. The shade/cover is the best feature, as it protects him from the sun when he plays and keeps animals out when he isn't using it. It is very sturdy and has plenty of room for his 3 cousins to play with him. Great value for the price.

I’m nervous it won’t last. Putting this together was awful. Almost every piece of wood split. The wood pieces you have to screw into are small, leaving little room for error. The pieces don’t have pre drilled holes so it’s guesswork where to screw into. Quite the disaster. If you’re used to fisherprice and little tikes easy assembly , this will be much different. I’m also not a fan of the liner.
