I'd completely forgotten it wasn't real wool by the time I opened it up and tried it on. Thankfully for me, it fits, but the listing suggesting you buy a size larger than normal? Listen to it, it's 100% true, while it fits I wish I'd gone 1 size larger for uh... buffet night. If I had to pick one thing to not like- I wish the belts felt a bit hardier, they should last though- and I admit a lack of familiarity with the thickness of leather here, hence I think it's a bit more of a wish item than an actual negative. Maybe next time I'll get my family pattern. :D

The fabric is, as stated, an "acrylic wool" so its softer to the feel but just as heavy feeling so the kilt hangs nicely and moves naturally. The pleat work is straight and even. The kilt features the traditional "frayed" edge at the interior and the buckles, are well positioned and offer a range of sizes. Proportionately it hangs a bit longer over the knee than some but well within traditional lengths. Very easy to wear, very comfortable. A nice addition to the wardrobe, and coming with the matching hose flashes is a nice touch.
