I'm using the large black cap to cap off my oil filter drain on my 2nd gen Tacoma. It gets extremely hot and the cap has not degraded. It has retained its form. They're thin, so don't expect heavy duty. I would suspect that if you attempted to use a worm clamp, it would cut the silicone.

All of them are quite small, and due to the limited size (diameter and length) I have to order another from a different supplier.
