I'm fairly new to acrylic painting, and have struggled to find the right fan brush. This was my 6th try. I found that natural bristle brushes I purchased first don't hold the paint or release the paint well for me. The synthetic nylon fan brush that came with a brush set is way too soft, as are the golden taklons that came with another set. This one is stiff but flexible, holds the paint correctly, and (loaded properly) allows me to use the fan brush for my intended purpose. (I'm using it mostly for foliage and grasses.)
