There are a lot of things about this cuckoo clock that I really like. I love how authentic vintage this looks. It has lots of wonderful colors and details, like the mushroom and the flower on the front, the moss, the woman, the tree, and the little cuckoo that pops out the doors at the top. I love that it has a pendulum that swings. It feels like good quality, but the caveat to that is that it feels more like a mdf version of solid wood than an actual solid wood piece (which I say that this is a great reproduction, but I don't think an actual vintage cuckoo clock would be made of this same wood and would feel quite so light.) This functions really well, keeps perfect time. It is really hard to see the time on it (my first picture should give you a good idea of how it feels to look at it on the wall.) The instruction manual mentions a volume option which this DOES NOT have. That is a bit disappointing, because I could have seen that being useful. The clock was easy to get running.

This is a very beautiful and lovely carved cuckoo clock. I bought it as a birthday gift for 7 year old daughter. She loves it so much. Nice craftsmanship, everything works as it should, the bird is adorable and pops out of its door on the hour to give the hourly beckoning.Unlike other plastic cuckoo clocks, it is made of real wood, and polished very smooth. This is a best clock as a decoration. Although it is not a cuckoo clock from Germany, the craftsmanship is very good for the cost.This Clock would be a very cool gift idea. I will strong recommend.

Great detail for the money. Everything works as it should. Very easy to set up and the owner’s manual is very clear with troubleshooting tips in the back of the pamphlet, should you need. A great find and buy in my book. It’s hard to find a good cuckoo clock for under $100. I chose this one over about 5 others I seen on Amazon, very glad I did.

My stepfather had an old German made Cuckoo Clock, that didn't need batteries to operate. It was slightly bigger and he'd let me wind it up by pulling the long chains that had pinecone's on each end. I can still remember how the clicking sound was part of the weight of the chains as I pulled. I was maybe 8 or 9 then, but remember vividly how that felt because of it's quality. He never showed or voiced concern that I had to be careful not to break by pulling too hard. There was nothing fragile about how that small Cuckoo Clock felt. I bought my first real wood replica when my children were little that got lost in a move. So I was excited when I came across this little guy. It's adorable. German made with authentic characteristics. Surprisingly it does use Three (3) C batteries to operate the Clock and Cuckoo Clock features, having to wait until I got to try. You should set your Cuckoo Clock at 12 so that you can hear Cuckoo bird accurately Cuckoo the time without having to look. Great for the visually impaired. You have the option to turn off the Cuckoo or just turn off the music that plays directly after Cuckoo announces the time. Or shut them both off all together. You definitely can't please everyone, but you can turn this one off and on at your whim. Very pleased with the authentic characteristics of this German made, though a replica, of the antique Cuckoo Clocks that we still adore today, but way affordable. Made of real wood that esthetically enhances it's charm and value. It's lighter than the real thing, but isn't a featherweight by no means, unlike a plastic replica. It comes securely packaged, concealed in thick foam cut to fit so it can't accidentally break in transit. Definitely would consider this a very special, above the everyday norm in gifting. Especially clock/ antique enthusiasts. Not overly priced for the authentic characteristics given. Definitely Recommend. Happy Happy Customer : )
