I purchased this kit to replace my head gasket, but ended up replacing all the gaskets included in this kit since I had everything torn apart.The job itself is pretty simple, but did take about 5 hours with 1 person helping me (I'm not a mechanic, but try to do as much of my own maintenance as possible. This is my first head gasket replacement). We decided to remove all side plastics and the gas tank to make access as easy as possible. Then we removed the air box and carb. From there everything came apart pretty easily.All gaskets seemed to be of decent quality and fit EXCEPT the exhaust gasket. This one was slightly large for my '94 Sportsman where the holes go over the studs. We simple drilled the holes down to size and used it anyways. So far so good with this modification as it didn't seem to affect the ability of this gasket to seal.*NOTE: make sure you have the top gasket that goes around the cylinder head (metal) with the tab facing the correct direction (forward).
