We got this to replace the black plastic original because we are learning more about black plastic being recycled electronic waste and leaching PFAS and other "forever chemicals" into food and water. We're replacing all black plastic now, and we're glad to find this. It does squeak a bit when turning, no biggie.

Love this cap! Moved from a Hydroflask to a stainless steel finish Klean Kanteen because coloured coatings on water bottles always ends up flaking off in the dishwasher, and water somehow always made its way INTO the plastic hydroflask lid during the wash cycle (I could hear it sloshing about inside the lid), and dripped out slowly during the day, getting everything wet. This cap not only removes all plastic from the equation (yay), but is also completely impervious to water. I just wish they made a full stainless steel cap for the wide-mouth kanteen.

Love it! Fits my ild waterbottle like a charm. For context my waterbottle is 15 years old and nicely battered. I love that it is plastic free except for the tiny leak-proof strip around the lid edge. I had a problem with my last 4 plastic lods with either breakage leading to plastic slivers or bacteria build up that was difficult to clean. No cleaning problems here! And darn near impossible to break too.

This stainless steel cap fits my new, vacuum Klean Kanteen perfectly. It also deletes almost all plastic from the system. I've read a few reviews that state the metal-to-metal sound (cap-on-container) is displeasing. I hear it every time I use the cap but it's supposed to make that sound — it's stainless steel & damages nothing. It adds a finished appearance to my Klean Kanteen too! Absolutely no leakage & without having to apply a huge amount of torque. It's a great upgrade.

This is a great stainless steel option with a silicone ring to ensure a leak-free fit. Unfortunately, I am used to carrying a full liter of fluid by the lid itself with one finger. This lid is definitely not designed for doing so. Maybe in the future they will design one that is as comfortable as the plastic ones are. It also took forever to be delivered - almost 3 weeks. Do not order if you are in a rush.

Bought this thinking to reduce microplastics. But you still have to apply friction onto the silicone o ring to seal the bottle, arguably more friction than on the plastic caps. So not sure if there is a net reduction in microplastics by not having plastic on metal threads when you need to apply additional friction to the o ring

Bajo mi punto de vista es muy caro, pero es cierto que si tienes la botella y no te gusta el otro tapón (el que tiene pitorrillo) este tapón no permite que se pierda nada de agua, no como el otro.

Bouchon fait pour les allergiques au plastique. Il est cher mais la qualité est là ! Joli, léger, solide et facilement nettoyable (tout en arrondis).
