It is good to have a microphone with a simple button to mute on the base, not at the mic.This button allows you to immediately mute once you have finished speaking and unmute again when you have to say more.Also, unlike built-in microphones, you can move it for optimal capture.A circling around the mic while speaking confirmed that it is omnidirectional.That also means there is no noise cancelation and it will pick up everything in a noisy environment.The pop filter does a decent job to suppress plosive sounds like the letters (P, B), (T, D), (K, G)In summary, I am glad I ordered.

The KLIM C4 computer microphone is a simple and effective device for your computer. It does not take up much space on the desktop. You can move it to wherever it picks up the sound the best and yet it does not block your face when using it to make a video call. It is plug and play. A really nice piece of equipment for the computer.

Tried this on a couple of tele-conference calls. The quality was pretty clear and people didn't have any trouble understanding me. The one complaint they had was that it was a little quiet and they had to turn up their volume more than normal to hear me well. Tried it in a couple different positions and checked my settings and everything looked OK.That said, the quality when volume was up was clear. No extra set up: plug and play. Mute button on the body of it was pretty nice as well (blue light on it if you care about lights for setup). I'd certainly recommend it for personal use which was the main reason I wanted it.

This microphone works great! It connected easily to my computer, and the blue light adds a nice visual touch.I highly recommend this for anyone who wants a high-quality desktop microphone without the need for wearing earbuds or headsets while at the computer. My laptop’s built-in microphone is pretty awful, so I decided to try this Klim device in the hope that it would offer better audio quality while still being easy to use. I wasn’t expecting a lot for $24.97 (which is good because it has a few issues, and the audio isn’t what I’d call high def), but I was very pleasantly surprised at how capable this little mic is for the money.It’s plug and play, and the overall construction feels very good for the price range. It’s heavier than expected and feels substantial when you pick it up. I especially like the metal gooseneck that allows you to position it securely without any drift or sag. It has a 5’ power (USB) cable which allows a fair amount of freedom in terms of placement, and the blue LED on/off light makes an easy visual reference if you're on a call or stream and worried about a hot mic.Sound quality is fine, but volume drops noticeably as you get further away. I found the best range is within a foot or so, and increasing distance makes the audio sound as if it’s coming from down a tunnel. It will clip a bit with higher noise levels (like singing, for instance), but it performed much better than I expected. The overall sound is balanced quite well, but bass and treble drop off significantly outside the 1-2 foot range. There’s also some background hiss, but that can be cleaned up in a DAW or with other software.One minor annoyance is that the pop filter comes off very easily and could get lost. I plan to add a bit of double-sided tape to keep it in place.This isn’t a top level recording mic, but it’s not meant to be. It performs exactly as it should and can handle most basic tasks you’d need it for. At $25 I’m very pleased and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.4.5 stars

I recently tried out this desktop microphone, and I have to say I'm generally impressed, especially considering the price point. Straight out of the box, it was a doddle to set up – just plug and play with Windows, no need to faff around with installing any extra software or drivers. It has a good, solid feel, and it doesn't take up too much room on my desk.I particularly like the simple, professional design. The gooseneck is flexible, making it easy to position the microphone exactly where I need it, and the mute button is a handy feature for those frequent moments when I need to cut off the sound quickly. Plus, the blue light on the base lets me know at a glance whether the mic is active or not.The sound quality is decent for everyday use, such as video calls and online meetings – a definite improvement over my laptop's built-in microphone. However, I noticed that the sound quality drops off noticeably if I'm not close enough to the microphone; it needs to be positioned near your mouth for the best results. I also found that it picks up a bit of background noise.The microphone is quite short, and I found myself having to lean in a bit to get the best sound, which isn't the most comfortable position for extended periods. Also, the pop filter comes off too easily, so I might need to find a way to secure it.Overall, though, I think this is a great little microphone for the price. It's ideal for anyone who needs a simple, effective, and affordable way to improve their audio quality for online communication. It may not be perfect for professional recording, but it does the job nicely for everyday use in a home office or for casual chatting.

Das Klim C4 wird ja damit beworben, daß es perfekt fürs Homeoffice sei und deswegen habe ich es bestellt.Vorrangig kommt das Mikro für die Online-Meetings und Telefonkoferenzen über MS Teams zum Einsatz.Bisher hatte ich hierfür ein Headset im Einsatz, was jedoch bei längeren oder aufeinanderfolgenden Meetings zu heißen Ohren geführt hat. Davon wollte ich weg.Das Mikro ist für den aufgerufenen Preis doch recht gut verarbeitet und macht auch optisch durchaus was her ohne jedoch aufdringlich ins Auge zu springen.Das Kabel ist fest am Fuß montiert, jedoch lange genug um Spielraum für eine Positionierung auf dem Schreibtisch zu ermöglichen.Die Taste auf der Oberseite ermöglicht eine Stummschaltung wenn nötig.Ob das Mikro stummgeschaltet ist, lässt sich daran erkennen, das der blaue Lichtring am Sockel aus ist. Bei aktivem Mikro ist dieser beleuchtet.Plug and Play Anschluss per USB-C ermöglicht eine unkomplizierte Installation und das Mikro ist in kürzester Zeit einsatzbereit.Im täglichen Einsatz konnte das Klim C4 überzeugen.Keiner meiner Gesprächsteilnehmer hatte Probleme mich zu verstehen oder klagte über eine schlechte Qualität des Tons.Das Radio im Hintergrund wurde vom Gegenüber ebensowenig wahrgenommen wie mein Saugroboter.Ein Hintergrundrauschen konnte ich nicht feststellen.Fazit:Für Online-Meetings kann ich das Klim C4 klar empfehlen, da es im bisherigen Einsatz absolut überzeugen konnte.Das es bestimmt bessere Mikros gibt, will ich nicht abstreiten, aber ich will ja keine professionellen Aufnahmen damit machen, sondern nutze es nur für die Anwendung im Homeoffice und dort hat es micht absolut überzeugt.Das Gesamtpaket für den dafür aufgerufenen Preis empfinde ich als stimmig.Das C4 hat sich seinen festen Platz auf meinem Schreibtisch redlich verdient und ist ein zuverlässiger Begleiter im täglichen Office-Betrieb.Klare Kaufempfehlung!

The Klim C4 is desktop microphone reminds me of the microphone technology installed in council chambers, committee rooms, public hearing rooms, and conference rooms. It takes your conference calls to a new level, bringing a political or press conference vibe to your call. For that reason I love it. You need to lean in and press the button to activate the mic, adding an air of suspense and importance before you begin speaking. When you do, it lights up in Blue, so you know you're live. The gooseneck is very flexible and it has a foam pop filter on the tip. Installation is a snap. Just plug into a Type-A USB port, and it's ready to go. Worst case you might have to switch your conferencing app to use the KLIM, but only if you have competing mic devices available on your device.Get this microphone if you want to command your next video call. Love this thing!

I wanted a simple work-from-home solution and tried out this desktop microphone. It's a simple, professional design and is super easy to set up, so I am overall impressed by this. There's no setup in terms of installing software; simply plug in and go, which means no faff during a last minute scramble for a meeting.The design is sleek and simple, with a flexible gooseneck to allow for easy positioning. The mute button is well-placed and has a light to indicate whether it is active. With a simple click, you can turn it on and off, which is handy as it does tend to pick up some background noise easily.The sound quality is decent enough for meetings; definitely not as good as my pro mic, but miles better than my headphones and built-in laptop mic. Positioning is key; you can't have it too far away or the quality drops, so bring it close enough to your mouth for clear sound. This obviously means that it is a bit short and you have to lean down a bit to get the best quality; fine for small meetings but not practical if you spend a lot of time on calls. The pop filter does fall off easily, but if you find one position that works, it won't be much of an issue.The only gripe I have is that I wish there was a way to connect wired headphones to the mic directly. I prefer wearing headphones and having that option would be great, rather than having to plug them into my laptop, which means trailing wires all over the place.Overall, it's a decent mic, and is affordable for the simple nature of the product (just under £20 at time of review). This may suit others but is not much of a long-term solution for me.
