I photographed approximately 400 old slides and loaded them into my smartphone. Now I can view my old memories without using a slide projector. And, the price for the product was very reasonable.

This serves its purpose but I needed to rest my iPhone 14 on a paperback book on top of the shelf to get it to focus. It did a good job vs paying $1.50 for each of my hundreds of slides. I cleaned every slide (most are 60+ years old) and it gets time consuming but all in all worthwhile the $20.

Scanner is sturdy and operation is simple. Colors of scanned photos are NOT the same. See attached photos. Customer service was great. When I contacted about problem with change is colors, they promptly refunded the money and let me keep the scanner. I would suggest to change the orientation of the placement of camera on the platform. That way it will be better to handle. If anyone has suggestion(s) on colors to be same as original, please post here how to do it.

I had some 50 yo Kodak slides that I was going to through away until I found this device. The price was right so I thought I would try it. The results are amazing. This is a simple idea that works well . You have to try it. It's easy to use and you will like the results.

DO NOT BUY - IT IS SCAM! TO BUY THEIR APP AND PAY BIG BUCKS A MONTH TO USE THE SCANNER!

I expected to have a pics the same size as my others pics I take with my phone. The app that you download to use the scanner is difficult to go through. The pic is grainy. I expected a clear pic of the negative.

I tested this device with an iPhone SE 2nd Generation that has a 12MP lens. The attached test images are from a slide from a photo taken in 1967. The slides are in excellent condition. The example photos have not been edited in any way, what you see is the quality you get. The first attached image that looks blueish and has less detail was scanned with the iPhone using the KLIM. The color saturation in that image looks washed out. The 2nd attached image was scanned with a "Magnasonic All-in-One 25MP Film Scanner". That image has better detail and better color saturation because of the higher resolution lens and design of the scanner. The KLIM is not as simple to use at might seem. It's not accurate when setting the camera in position, too easy to move around. And the scanned image before editing is clipped, look closely at the side of the two examples and you can see the difference. Some of the poor color saturation and detail using the KLIM may be caused by ambient light and the KLIM I had being white. If it was black and used in a darkened room it might be slightly better, but the 12MP iPhone camera lens can not match the capability of the Magnasonic 25MP lens. Having to fiddle with how the KLIM is used is not going to produce consistent results. If you have a lot of photos, or any great photos worth extra care and possibly printing to large format the KLIM is not the right tool. Buy a "Magnasonic All-in-One 25MP Film Scanner" or similar with much higher lens resolution and closed design that keeps ambient light out. The extra cost for better features and results is worth it.
