I should’ve guessed from all the pink, but since this wasn’t listed explicitly as a book for girls, I thought it would at least be gender neutral. Unfortunately, I purchased this for my young boy cousin, and am worried he won’t like it because of how “girly†every single page is. Every character in the book presents female, and even the animals all have little eyelashes. The book’s paper is nice watercolor quality, and there is a good amount of paint included, though I have not tried it out yet! I don’t want to waste the purchase, as the book is still very nice, but I will be purchasing a more “boyish†to present alongside this one so that he at least has more options.
