Works great, very quiet and easy to use for any firearm/bow/gear you wish to pull up into the tree. Very pleased with it! Like the larger diameter rope it has, doesnt burn your hand bad like small rope does.Only downfall I've had is its hard to get off your belt 😂 but thats also better than it falling off all the time

I looked around and researched a retractable gear hoist and came across this one. I purchased it and have used it twice and it seems to work perfectly very easy to use and quiet. Retracts as it should. I’ll update review after more uses on durability.

Imagine how big you think this product should be and then add 3 inches and that’s how big it actually is. Very bulky. Only reason I can’t give 5 stars because it is just so much bigger than I think it should be.Have used this 5 times this year and it has been wonderful to forget the hand crank systems or messy tangled ropes.This hoist is very safe so far. Tension seems just right. Has been a game changer for hunting from my climber or saddle or ladder stands. Hoist is secure, quiet and a little pricey but imo worth it. I’ve met and cared for too many people with brain/spinal cord/orthopedic injuries from falling out of tree stands so having both hands free as long as possible is critical while getting up and down a tree.There are videos on YouTube about making your own diy hoist using a pouch and a dog leash. Could probably save about 10 bucks doing that but that may be a better option only if you have more time than money.

I bought this strictly for saddle hunting and it works great! I will use everytime I go into the woods for rifle or bow hunting!

I use this in my saddle set up. It stays tight while climbing and descending. It's a little on the bigger size but for what it does the size is worth it.
