If you Own a 07 RAM 1500 4.7, this is a must. I was blown away when i installed this and took my truck on the interstate. The Instructions was easy to follow but again am an engineer and i was able to use my tools at home and had no trouble. The only down side was the O2 sensor for the 07 rams has to be installed on the new tube after you drill a hole in it and place the rubber seal. Other than that you can feel and hear the difference. My truck runs better. I got almost 10 extra HP and 9.8 Ft Lbs of torque. Looks good too. Great buy, i should off got it earlier.

I received the kit yesterday and installed it in about an hour. The only problem I had with installing the kit was when it came time to insert the plastic crank case fitting into the metal intake tube, I exerted too much force and broke the plastic fitting. Just this morning, I called K&N and they said they would send me one right away, free of charge. In the meantime, my truck sounds great and runs much stronger, even with a bit of tape to fix my mistake. I am very satisfied with this product and the prompt delivery from this seller (arrived in 5 days with super saver shipping to Hawaii!)

this is a very good product... big bang for small buck. I removed the stock equipment in about 15 minutes. it took about another 15 minutes to assemble and about the same to install. the 4.7 awoke and now has a nice growl and more giddy up and go.the instructions make it easy to remove the old and install the new...just every day mechanic tools & its done.I have a old craftsman 160 piece tool set. I used 3 sockets an 3 open / closed wrench's and a flat head screw driver.I ride Harley's therefore I learned to wrench. honestly if one can read and look at pictures...anyone can install this bolt on upgrade. K&N has been doing it for a long time...everything went together as it should....GOOD PRODUCT, just buy it you will be happy that you did!

This was the first time I've owned or known of anyone having a cold air intake. I've read about owners in the forums, some like them, some don't.Installation was pretty easy. I'm fairly mechanically inclined, and it took me about an hour and a half to remove my stock intake and install the k&n intake. No cutting or drilling was needed. I was a little afraid at first to be removing so much stuff, but once I got into it, it wasn't hard. Make sure you keep the instructions and all the parts in case you want to put the stock system back in.Once I got it all installed, I took it for a spin. The first thing I noticed was the sucking noise that it made sucking in all the air. Stock systems are designed to keep your engine as quiet as possible. Cold Air Intakes are designed to be the least resistant as possible. So naturally, there will be more noise. Once I got going, there was a nice deep throaty noise. It felt kind of nice knowing people could hear my truck going by. I didn't really notice much of a power difference.I've only had it on for a day, so I can't speak of gas mileage, but from what people say, it improves your mileage.I'm kind of on the fence about keeping it on. The sucking noise is quite noticeable when driving down the road. I'll probably keep it on for a few weeks to see if my mileage improves. If not, then i'll probably put the old intake back on. To me, the added power (that I can't really feel) doesn't make up for the noise.

Got this in the mail in two days. The directions were not so great, but if you are handy its no problem. It bolted right into the hood and the only thing you really had to do yourself was to drill a hole for the temperature sensor. Otherwise It was great and took about 30 minutes. It gives my ram a great throaty sound pair with the flowmasters. I have not seen a decrease in gas consumption, but that was expected because you won't really see that until you install a chip and reconfigure the car. I recommend this to anyone who wants to improve the sound of their truck and wants a fun quick add on to the truck.-Jake

I submitted a before and after picture. I installed this in a 2002 Dodge Ram with a 4.7 L V8 engine. The instructions were clear and simple. It took about 2 hours to complete the whole job. Most of the time that was spent was removing all the old air box and resonator, after that installing the K&N was fairly simple.I am very pleased with the results. The increase in horsepower is dramatic and it has a nice rumble to the engine. It takes off from a dead stop like a bat out of hell. I checked my fuel economy and it increased it by about one tenth of a mile per gallon. So that wasn't much, but I really bought it for the increase in horsepower so I am happy. I highly recommend this cold air intake

I purchased the 63-1529 kit to try to get my husband's truck better gas mileage. He tried to install the kit yesterday and everything went well right to the step that he had to install the K&N air filter onto the air tube. The kit was supposed to include a RF-1040 filter, and the box had RF-1040 on it, but the diameter of the flange to attach it to the air tube was WAY too big. For his kit, the air tube is four inches in diameter, but the filter in the box was six. I called the company and submitted the pictures to correct the issue, but they have not called back after four hours. My husband needs the correct filter to drive his truck and needs it overnighted so that this can be done. Really frustrating, especially since this size filter is not carried by other retail auto parts stores.

Not only did I spend time taking my truck apart to install this (and by the way, the instructions are not that great) the main intake pipe was broken! So now I have a truck paperweight till I can get replacement parts.
