Let me begin by saying I am in no way a mechanic. I read a review posted earlier on here and knew that I would have to cut the housing unit to get it to fit. Since I couldn’t find any other air intakes that fit my car, I took the chance. The part got here super fast and without issue. I was able to use a angle grinder with a metal cutting blade and took off the required about to make those housing fit. Everything else at that point was supper simple. From me opening the box to Being finished took about 30 mins. The instructions that come with it is extremely easy to follow. Additional, it sounds GREAT!!!

There are a bunch of CAI out there, this one was simple to install and transformed my Mini Cooper S. Who cares about looks when its under the hood unless you want to impress boy racers at car shows. Don't get me wrong it looks good and functions as advertised. Who cares about HP gains because that's all speculation anyway. What it does is make the engine breath and now you can really hear the turbos blow off valve each time you hit the gas and change gears. With the stock intake there is no whoooshhhh, with this one it's all psssssahhhh. Simple install in 30 mins.

Easy to install, good quality and the sounds coming from it are addicting. Fit my R56 Cooper S without any issues.

Could fit better for Mini Cooper with n18 engines. Elbow isn’t bent at the right angle and casing surrounding the filter doesn’t quite fit right. For the price I should have gotten the AEM intake with good scoop for Mini Cooper.

Arrived quickly but the box had been dropped and the corner was damaged. This caused some deformation of the heat shield mounting point. It was easy enough to bend back into shape though.The intake is great quality and fits perfectly on the N18 engine. Very easy install and no check engine lights. Instant difference in engine tone and enhanced turbo blow off noise. No significant difference in throttle response but I was using a panel foam filter before anyway. Would recommend this product.
