Excellent quality & value. Used twice on my '99 986 Boxster. Fits perfect. Cut apart after use shows is doing good job. Made in Korea. We change oil & filter every 5k mi. as recommended by PCA for IMS engines.

THE FILTER ELEMENT APPEARS TO BE GOOD QUALITY, HOWEVER, THE RUBBER RING THAT IS USED TO SEAL THE FILTER'S VASE IS TOO THIN COMPARED WITH THE THICKER AND ROBUST RUBBER RINGS ACCOMPANYING THE GERMAN MADE FILTERS SUCH AS MAHLE, PORSCHE, MANN, ETC.

This is my second K&N in my 2005 997. Works great, pretty much the same size as OEM. It might just be me, but I think the oil and the whole filter unit looked in better shape taking the K&N out than when I replaced the OEM. I have a drop in K&N air filter too. I have trusted their product for years.If you have a 997 Carrera, this is the filter for you.....and get a drop in too. You'll get an extra 5hp+..

No issues with this filter. Fitment just like original. Filter quality is very similar if not the same material as OEM. For the price I'm using this for my 996 and Boxster. Save your money and buy this instead of OEM.
