After taking a sourdough bread class, I was eager to dive in. This kit has everything you need to make some delectable items from your starter. There are 2 bread proofing bowls with cotton tops, a bread lame (for decorating the loaf before baking), a spurtle (mixing device), a large container in which to store your starter which includes a thermometer, silicone & cotton tops, as well as a band to place around the container so you can keep track of the feeding schedule if you are only baking occasionally. All of these items have come in extremely handy, are easy to keep clean, & if you need assistance or want to watch a video, there is a QR code to scan for that info. I looked at lots of kits & even looked into buying separate items & this kit seemed to fit my needs. It is a very worthwhile investment. Everything is made well, also.

A great set of needed items for anyone into making their own sourdough. I feel that you get a great collection of needed items for beginners or pro bakers looking for a bang for their buck. The baskets are just right for creating personal loafs that could feed 2-3 people a piece. The feature I love the most is the magnetic lame I can stick to the fridge for easy access and keeping it in a safe spot where no fingers will get harmed. Another awesome feature is the thermometer attachment and elastic feeding band to track your feeding cycles on the glass fermentation container.

I like everything about this. A newbee to the sourdough world, but so far the jar, measuring device and jar coverings are great. Haven't used the baskets... but I will as soon as my starter matures in 5 days... The razor cutter was ok... I used it to cut designs on other bread I make. I think the tools should have been a little longer.Its a long process.

Just wish that they would include a simple bread recipe. The website only shows how to make the starter, so you have to search You Tube for one.

I am really happy with this kit and the customer service I received when I reached our to the company with a question.The jar is big enough to easily fit my hand in so it is easy to wash when needed, the weight of the jar is marked right on it (something that saved me a huge headache when I realized I forgot to weigh it before adding my starter) and the proofing baskets are a nice complement to the set.10/10 would recommend!

I received this sour dough starter kit quickly, and I really like it! I have not had the chance to use it, yet. However, everything in the box is great, of high quality, and I believe this will add to my joy of making sourdough breads.

*EditContacted thier customer Service and they are sending me a new Jar. Everything is super cute but I noticed my jar doesnt have any of the measurements on it. It did come with the temperature sticker and the date stretchy band but otherwise I have no way of measuring how much is in the Jar. I see in other review pictures they all have measurement markings on their jars so im thinking I may have recieved an oops. Ill be contacting the Manufacturer.
