I use inserts in my woodworking. In the past I really had to struggle to insert inserts into the hard woods that I use. With the aid of a Rannb Adjustable T Shape Handle Ratchet Tap Wrench (Capacity Range M5-M12 (3/16 - 1/2")) to hold the tap, it is now much easier to insert my inserts. This works perfectly for the 8-32 inserts I use.

This type of (Hi speed Steel) tap, is the most commanly one used by journeyman machinist. If properly used, it will easily outlast a carbon steel tap by 10 times.

Used this to replace 1/4 rivets in a chevy door with bolts. Worked out really nice while only having a plain socket and extension as a handle ... Except one hole out of 8 drilled out rivets was too big to be threaded, went with a nut instead. Wasn't used aggressively or heavily to comment on durability.

Very Sharp and did the job for about 100 wholes tapped out. Great Product, comes in a plastic case marked with the tap size and thread count etc...
