Definitely filters the water, which is nice. Cartridges are a bit expensive, but better than installing a whole house system. Looks good and good spray.

It was easy to assemble and install, but I couldn’t figure out why the water wouldn’t come out. I assumed it was the filter. Thank goodness I saw the video review that pointed out to remove the small gray plug in the filter (bess you!). Nowhere in directions.

I love the water that comes out of this filter. It is nice to shower in water that has had the chlorine etc removed. I also love how easy it is to change a filter. HOWEVER, the water pressure has drastically reduced to an embarrassing level. Both the original and replacement filters lasted about a week and a half before it was a noticeable and severe reduction in pressure. There has to be something that Kohler can do to fix this. It’s just not a product that I would expect from them and I am not sure I can continue to pay $35 for half the water pressure that I should have.

This thing made a huge difference for our shower. We bought the original at Home Depot and had it in the shower for several months. We noticed skin issues coming back and white film starting to collect on the shower head again, so we bought this refill. It takes a bit for your skin to feel better, but no more white stuff on the shower head already.
