Excellent tool for extracting bolts after the heads have broken off. As well, these are very good for stripped heads where wrenches or sockets can no longer be used. Sturdy material!

On first use the small screw extractor shattered. The material heat-treat process has to be wrong. I drill out broken bolts at work all the time and work as a toolmaker. I thought this would be a good set but I guess I will buy the Irwin.

Kolvoii Deep Bolt Extractor Set, 16 PCS 1/2 inch Drive ImpactNice kit for the most part. Only complaint is some of the sockets labels are not as visible as others. (See photos).Until I have a stuck bolt or nut, I will not be able to use these.Case is solid, with good finish. No burs that cut your hands. The size card is loose inside with a plastic protection sheet, but that is what the lettering on the sockets is supposed to cover. Some deviation on the sockets from manufacturing is visible on outer edges, but the main part for the drive connection and bolt-bit area are all in great shape.

It almost has every you need to tackle stripped nuts and bolts. It solved my problem removing a stripped torx oil drain plug, I got to use the reversed drill first to even out the torx hole then used the right size removal bit using a hammer drill.

The unit has plenty of parts, however the most important bits that work best in most situations are made of very soft metal and snap off after about 4 uses.Subsequently I have had to purchase replacement bit sets (in pouches) for $10 to keep the unit complete.The reverse drill bits are also very very soft, easily flex, bend and dull very quickly. Once bent you must straighten or toss away.
