The Self Lock Series of tape measures is a unique line of tape measures. Lost my good $25 tape and decided not to do that again. For about $9, this 25' tape does a great job, The tape is over an inch wide and the numbers are easy to read. The tape locks in place every time you pull the tape out. The pushbutton to release it is well placed and operates easily. Never had a problem with it. Bought my last expensive tape measure.

I needed this while apartment shopping so I could see if my furniture fit. This tape measure is fantastic! The tape stays put until you push the button then it retracts quickly and solidly. The tape can be extended further than 6 ft without sagging like others I have had in the same price. This thing is pretty heavy as well. I jokingly told my friend I could use it as an impact weapon. Very impressed for what I got for the price.

we've had and used this measuring tape for about 5 years now and it has been great! acurate, a good weight, feels quality, large printed numbers, durable, and always retracts smoothly. Definitely sturdy trusty measuring tape

This is a great general purpose tape measure. 25'The action is smooth and locks cleanly.The release works very well.It has a nice heavyweight feel to it. Good strong belt clip.The tape itself is wide and has all the measures, I prefer this style has whole inch measures up to 12 , then both inch and foot / inch measures after that. It is marked for 16" centers and has large whole foot marks. The tab adjusts as expected for inside and outside measurements.Very well thorugh out.

Works good and easy to use. Locked automatically. One downside for me is heavy and bulky which is not that bad

This is probably my 5th large capacity tape measure. But, it is the only one that I can use without slicing my fingers when the tape measure retracts. I pull out to the edge of what I'm measuring and it stays out. There is a button to gentle retract. A must have. Not expensive. A great gift for any one who measures.

Heavy, sturdy, tape measure. What you’d find in a tool box. Tape is hard plastic and will hold into space, until a greater length, then may become flimsy. Locks in space, until button is pressed to retract. Used as house tape measure.

I love Komelon tapes. I grabbed this for my work bag as I travel for work. Light weight and just as sturdy as the bigger tapes without the bulk and weight. Lovely to use, smooth and does not jam.

I'm not sure if the self-locking mechanism was introduced by Komelon, but I'll never buy another tape again that doesn't have this feature. I am a professional carpenter and find it to be so much easier to use. They will wear out like any other tape measure, but the design makes them my go to brand now. I just bought six more to give to my carpenter/homeowner friends.

Strange to say about a simple tape measure, but this is an oddly satisfying item. The tape is textured and feels nice, the weight is perfect, it thunks in a low reassuring thud when you stop it. Feels very solid in your hand. Never thought I could be so pleased about a tape measure, but this is just great quality.
