FAQs

  1. What type of magnet is this? Our tape is a Multipole magnet. This means the strips can stick to each other and the majority of ferrous materials. Multipole magnets work great for DIY projects using two attracting magnets e.g. keeping wandering drawers shut.
  2. What can it stick to? Our magnet tape can stick to any flat, smooth surface - we recommend cleaning your surface before using the tape and making sure what you're using the tape for, is magnetic e.g. Stainless Steel is NOT magnetic.

I bought these magnetic strips to put under a kitchen shelf, to hold spice jars with washers on their lids. I originally purchased just a few boxes of the strips so that I could see if they would work for my project. I ordered more when I was super impressed by the strength of these strips. They hold the glass spice jars without question. The magnetic strips have adhesive backing, which did not hold up very well for me. Even with no jars attached, one fell down on its own. If you're doing a project and need assurance that the strips won't fall, from weight or otherwise, I suggest nailing the strips to the surface. I used 3 small nails to hold each strip onto the bottom of the shelf and they are very secure now.In case you're wondering, I used Gorilla Clear Grip glue to hold the washers to the spice caps, and zinc washers that are magnetic. I have about 50 spice jars in all, and I put 3 rows of magnetic strips running all under the 11" shelf. Some people say these magnets are weak or have no magnetism, but I cannot understand that at all. Those people must not have tested to see if the item they are trying to attach to the magnetic strip is actually magnetic. I had to take one of these magnetic strips to Lowes to find the right washers that will work, (which were zinc plated,) because only some washers are magnetic. (These strips are so strong that if you set down some nails nearby on the table, or anything magnetic near them, they suck the nails over to them.)I want to mention the kind seller of these magnetic strips. When I had a question about a coupon offer I had, he responded quickly and went above and beyond helping me, and he made the coupon good. These magnetic strips are a fine product, sold by a fine merchant. If you're considering these, buy them - you'll be pleased.

I have a wooden knife block. I have knives in every slot, plus two that were magnetically stored to the outside back portion. After many years, the thin, flimsy magnetic strips were failing and the two knives would constantly fall off. I knew that I wanted something of better quality to resolve my issue. The Magnetic Tape Magnet Strips are PERFECT! They are very thick and powerful. They arrived flat (no curling) and were very easy to cut to the exact size I needed for my knife block. I am really glad I chose this brand over the others I saw! I have a lot of strips left over and will be using them around the house for tool and picture hanging!

Adhesive backing was not that strong as I would have liked. Some came loose and I needed to add super glue to make them stick. I used these for undercounter motion activated lights.

Strips may not hold as much weight as the description says, but are very sturdy.

It took me a while but I finally found a great product to make "refrigerator magnets" from. Prior to finding Kraftex Magnetic Tape my magnets were nearly paper thin that lacked magnetic sticking power. Every time the refrigerator door was closed seemed like something was falling off the door. Not so with the Kraftex Magnetic Tape! Once on the door it stays there, it doesn't move. The thickness of the tape makes the photo stand out which I like. What I don't like about the thickness is it's somewhat difficult to cut through. It can be done with scissors, just make sure they're sharp. One final note about photo magnets made from Kraftex Tape, they make awesome, inexpensive gifts to give to friends. They will always find space on the refrigerator door to hang their magnet!

Disappointingly weak magnets that are bulky. I've tried a couple other products from LOVIMAG here on Amazon and those are STRONG magnets. Unfortunately they are also somewhat fragile and I've broken a few of them when they get dropped.Using magnets to hold shower curtain in place on an old cast iron tub and the LOVIMAG magnets are really strong but if you drop them in the tub they can and sometimes do break. These Kraftex Magnetic Tape strips won't break like that but they are very, very weak and very bulky in comparison. I expected to be able to cut them in half and just use a few here and there but have to put them nearly continuously from one end to the other to get enough collective strength to hold the curtain in place without the slightest movement detaching them from the side of the tub. Thankfully they don't break when dropped though. If they had even half the strength of the LOVIMAG magnets I would have been happy with them. I'd estimate much less than 1/4 the strength and that's being generous.

This magnetic tape is the thickest, strongest, most durable I have found. I tried the adhesive side with the paper still in tact on my refrigerator and due to the weight of the magnet, it would slowly slide down the refrigerator. However, when I flipped the tape over to the non-adhesive side, it was so strong I had to slide it to the edge of the refrigerator so I could grip it to remove it. If you are looking for a power and strength, then this is definitely the product to use. I used a strip of this magnetic tape to affix a piece of holographic bird scare tape to it and stuck the magnet on my mailbox. I can say with 100% confidence that this magnetic strip is not going anywhere for quite some time (unless someone steals it). Hopefully my mail carrier won't have to contend with bird droppings anymore. Fingers crossed :)

Not as magnetically strong as I was lead to believe. The only thing strong about this item is the adhesive tape. I would look elsewhere if you’re in need of a magnet that really grabs.
