The waffles came out fluffy and yummy!My first waffle maker so I have no benchmark but I can say this rival’s restaurant grade waffles!I used box pre made Belgium waffle mix. I will try making from scratch next time.I knew first batch would not be great (very strong chemical smell) so I used some old flour to bake away the first batch and threw them away.Subsequently, the smell is gone and every batch came out perfect! I decorated the waffles with fresh fruits, topped with sprinkles of bacon, then drizzled our fave syrup over them.I played around 2-2.5 for the darkness and find that to be good.I oiled the pans for the first few batches but later saw that it was unnecessary as the batter don’t stick to the pans.The timer is really nice for eg we started eating the first batch while the second batch was being cooked. I would have forgotten about taking them out without the timer since we sat down away from the kitchen.The pans pop out easy for cleaning. If you overfill each square with the batter, the batter will overflow once you close the lid- creating a little mess. I hand wash instead of putting them in the dishwasher.Overall because my kids enjoy this so much I decided to keep it. Although I really hope it won’t be a white elephant in my kitchen because it’s still quite an exercise to make this (making batter and cleaning up after). Worth the effort if I’m making a huge batch - and then I can store left overs in freezer.

I'm not obsessed with waffles, but, once in a while, I'll mx up a ton of batter to have a waffle fest. This big waffle maker performs its one simple task well and is a breeze to clean, a huge plus. You want regular waffles, Belgium waffles, gluten free waffles, (all my waffles are GF), healthy waffles, fruity waffles, lots, or a couple of waffles, and you want them cooked up today, this is your baby. Brush some avocado oil on, add about 1/2 C. of batter to center of each square and soon the family will be sitting down enjoying a wonderful treat. I've had 3 other waffle irons, (smaller single serve). Making a vat of batter also meant manning the waffle iron for 2 hours. Not fun. This one beats them all, and no aggravating waffle failures. The Krups waffle maker is big so storage space should be considered. It does have a nice built-in carry handle with a latch. The plates detach for ez, quick cleaning, (no one likes to be taunted by a stuck waffle), but I would not use a dishwasher. Only minor flaw is that the top and bottom plates are not interchangeable. Tiny print imbedded in each iron must be deciphered. Top goes to the top, bottom to the bottom, no switcheroos. Each plate snaps firmly in place. Waffles turn out as they should- tasty with an appearance that proudly screams, "I am waffle!". Yes, I recommend.

Makes waffles perfectly. The non-stick surface works very well-- even grilled cheese come out with no sticking. The removable, dishwasher-safe plates make cleanup very easy. Stores compactly on its side.The only issues is that the browning dial feels cheap and the handle gets hot, but those are minor details and do not warrant reducing the rating.

I was using this waffle maker and another one during a breakfast for dinner party. On the Krups, the waffles came out golden brown and fluffy, you can set the temperature for how light or dark brown you want them. There was a timer to let me know when it was warmed up and another one to let me know it was down cooking. The other waffle maker didn't have a timer so I forgot about it and I burnt my waffles. The best thing about the Krups is that it makes 4 large waffles, so my family of 4 can eat a hot waffle at the same time. The clean-up is fantastic and so easy! Just pop out the waffle plates - the top and bottom come out - and put in the dishwasher - I put them on the bottom rack. I've only used it twice, so far so good. The only thing I'm trying to figure out how to make just one waffle and have the timer get set. I tried in the upper right and the timer didn't go off. Might need to read instructions. But overall, super pleased!! I would highly recommend!!!

I absolutely ADORE this waffle maker!-This waffle maker can make 4 waffles at once... a real plus when you want to make more than one waffle at a time.-I wanted a waffle maker that was easy to clean. This is it. It has a nonstick surface and it has plates that are easily removed to clean. Such a plus in my book.-Its also got levels of brownness. Whether you like your waffles just a bit light or more want them to have more crispness to them. You can do that with this waffle maker. Again, a plus if you have picky eaters in your household who all like different levels of 'doneness'.-I like the ease with which the waffle maker folds up and stores away (upright). It is a bit on the big side (both tall and wide). When it closes you can store it upright so it doesn't take up a whole lot of room on a shelf or in a cupboard, but it is a bit tall so be aware of that if you want to store it in shelves that are not very tall.-Lastly, this is NOT a Belgium waffle maker. (I didn't want one of those). I specifically wanted to make regular waffles. Not only can I make regular waffles... I have made chaffles with this along with all sorts of other kinds of waffles including, chocolate chip waffles, blueberry waffles, cottage cheese protein waffles, and potato waffles. The possibilities are endless.Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this waffle maker.

I have owned 3 different waffle makers in the last three years since the pandemic hit. I have gone through 2 other waffle makers that just did not make the cut for me. This is my third waffle maker. I purchased the Krup Waffle Maker and received it within a very short time. Here is my list of Pro and Cons on the Krup Waffle Maker:Pro:The box came, undented and no scratches.Easy to remove and put on the waffle plates. They are dishwasher safe but very easy to wash by hands.Very Sturdy and not at all flimsy (no plastic pieces except for the handle.)Can make 4 waffles at once without have to wait.Has a green light to let you know when waffles are done and makes a noise.Con:I don't really think this counts as a con but it is quite heavy. So if you don't like heavy small appliance this is not for you.No other issue for me.Price point it costs the same as all my other waffle makers and those I felt were not as sturdy. and made less waffles at a time. I make waffles almost every second weekend so this has held up quite well in my books. If you love making waffles for your family, this is the best one!
