I love the Krups Flat Burr Coffee Grinder with 17 grind settings, and I’m thrilled to have it again after owning one for 8 years! This grinder is fantastic for all types of coffee, from espresso to drip coffee, thanks to its wide range of grind settings. The 7oz airtight bean hopper ensures the beans stay fresh, and I never have to worry about overheating as I noticed with other grinders from reading their reviews. The ability to choose between 2 to 12 cups allows me to grind the perfect amount of coffee for any occasion, and the auto shut-off feature is incredibly convenient. The noise level is low-pitched and unlike others so it is not a nuisance. What I appreciate the most is how easy it is to clean and its compactness so it can be easily stored away in a cupboard as it measures under 10.5" tall and less than 5" wide. Keeps your kitchen counters less cluttered. Yes, it does not have the "static-free" receptacle but I think that is a bit gimmicky. In my opinion, I'm not so bothered by a little bit of coffee dust on my counter because inevitably you are still going to clean up. After 9 years of daily use, my previous Krups burr grinder still worked well, even though the on button had come loose — it was still operational. I had ordered a conical burr grinder as a replacement from a different company with an LED display; however, it malfunctioned from the beginning. That was a sign to stick with a simple yet reliable burr grinder I have known to enjoy over the years. Now, I’ve replaced it with the same Krups model as before because of its reliability and consistency in grind (see the espresso grind in my pictures). It's easy to clean and comes with a compact brush. Plus, it’s very affordable on Amazon for all the features it offers. I highly recommend this grinder to any coffee lover!

Starbucks used to sell these in store, and many years ago a friend that managed a location gave me one for free. It served me well for over a decade with only minimal cleaning/maintence and daily use, until an unfortunate accident caused it to fall and break. Being in a better financial position than way back then, I thought I'd order a more expensive (at least 3x more expensive), professional grade home barrel burr grinder. Boy was that a mistake. It was significantly louder, had less adjustable settings that were more difficult to use, clogged constantly, and broke irreperably within 6 months and customer service wouldn't return calls or emails. So I ordered another one of these Krups and couldn't be happier. Its as loud as one might expect, but as I said, much quieter than more expensive models. Being able to set the volume of grinds I want, hit the button, and walk away until its done is wonderful, whereas my more expensive product required me to either guess based on time when it was done or hold a button down and watch the volume. No set up or assembly, ready to go out of the box. As I mentioned previously, while it is easy to clean, I almost never have to and that is with daily use and a relatively fine grind level (I use a pourover). I will likely never buy another grinder (barring a hand operated one for if the power goes out), though I expect this one to last me many years. My only warning is that it does have enough vibration to walk a little. The last one took a dive and broke because my girlfriend was unaware of these and placed it near the edge of the counter before turning it on.

I have been using this exact same product in my home in Europe for four years, and bought one here in the States for a feel-at-home experience. The European variant feels more tightly put together and is quieter. It also grinds perfectly for espresso, two notches above the finest setting, and changes grinds easily, working precisely and consistently. The machine I just purchased in the US can't grind for espresso even at the finest setting and the quality of the grind, at different settings, seems to vary each time I try the machine. Reading other similar complaints (the grind is either too coarse or too fine). Krups might be suspected of taking a different approach to the US market than it does in Europe, where buyers simply won't put up with sloppy, inconsistent execution. Numerous complaints in other reviews about the tedium of trying to get a Krups item repaired leave me no choice but reluctantly to return this item.
great read!

Got up this morning to realize I hadn’t ground the beans and set up the coffee maker with water & ground beans to start my day. Pushed the grind button on the Krups grinder and watched the button fall into the cavity of the grinder. I knew it was loose and we would probably need to replace it soon. I didn’t realize soon was today. So I got out the 35-year-old Bialetti I bought at Zabars which we keep in reserve for situations like this. It still works but is noisy. Fixed my coffee and headed to the computer to look for a replacement for the Krups. My wife reminded me we bought this one from Amazon years ago. It works fine, or it did until today, a little noisy, some static electricity, grinds get on the counter, but overall it worked pretty well. I looked to see when we purchased it and found it was 2007. We paid $60 then for it, so that’s about $5.45 per year or 1.4c per day, we use it at least every day. I looked through the various options of burr grinders Amazon offers. No more Breville’s for me, I made that mistake once. On the 2nd page I found the same model as we have, looked at the reviews, some were pretty bad, some not so bad and some good. I noticed the current price on this model is about half what we paid 11 years ago. So I ordered another one. If it doesn’t work I’ll be back on this site again for an update on my new Krups purchase. If it doesn’t work I’ll be no worse off financially than ordering 2-3 glasses of wine at a bar.

Excelente producto y altamente recomendable.
