Inexpensive as good as Harbor Freight’s. And I didn’t have to drive 55 miles to get it. Held my engine up for 8 months while I worked all the bugs out. Very easy to use and seemingly very durable.

The thing I really love about this is that there are dedicated bearings for the screw lifts. Probably built, nice welds, nice powder coat paint job and a price that doesn't hit Triple digits. And it's a must have if you're dropping the Cradle or you need to suspend the engine for any of the reason. I'm out here doing mobile repair for people, you can see the beach in the background it was such a cool job. I have owned three different engine braces before, and they are back at home a thousand miles away. Had to buy another one so I decided to go with the design that was a bit different than the other ones, and I love this one far better than the others I have. Some of the things I had to do was chase the threads on the feet attachments, and also you insert these rubber blocks into the bottom of the feet, and two of them they would just slip in and out they didn't have the exact correct space in between them, all you have to do is slightly hit it with a hammer to bend them in a little bit and you're good to go. I dropped a tiny bit of Gun oil on the bearing, just slightly lubricate them even though they already have light lubrication. I like how the spindle part is cupped and goes over the bearing and it totally protects the bearing from rain if you're doing something outside! We had rain going over Daytona Beach when I was doing the job, and I knew it was coming, and I wasn't afraid of leaving it out there for that quick half hour rain.

It broke while I was under it. It was holding up the motor and just luckily I had a jack under it as well or I would've been crushed when it broke! I will never purchase another one of these and have set up for return.

I was impressed with the strength of the bar and pieces. Easy enough to assemble except for some of the threads that were not machined well, I had to run a tap and die over some of the threads to smooth them out. I do like the fact that there are small bearings for the lift screws which makes it easier to spin with weight of the engine on it once the threads are cleaned up. The parts do look and feel very strong and the finish is nice and smooth. You must make sure that the uprights are perfectly vertical and the weight of the engine doesn’t have any side pull so there’s no chance of it shifting and as with any support bar of this type.Overall for the price it’s a good solid engine support bar that could use a little better quality control with the threads.

This hoist is great except for two things, one is MAJOR. The two vertical hand tighten bolts have plastic caps that will crack the instant weight is applied and once the plastic pops off they will go right through the huge holes in the fender washers. I placed a level on the hoist to ensure I was hoisting correctly but to no avail. I was able to locate two grade 8 bolts and thicker washers with smaller holes and averted disaster. This is otherwise a nice product. The rubber feet were too thin for the baseplate but a large set of vise grips allowed me to fix that in seconds.

Works well. Just did fit across the engine bay on a 2014 ford fusion.
