I bought this thinking it would fit my 2018 WRX not realizing it was for a WRX STI. The piece does not fit the hood scoop on the WRX, small gaps in the panel caused some air to get in at highway speeds and the whole thing blew off the tape. Looks good and would recommend, make sure it fits your vehicle first.

I ordered “shiny black†thinking it would be just painted black. Definitely not the case. What I got was just raw plastic, yes it was black but not I was thinking.That lead me down the path of painting it. It is what it is. I probably won’t recommend too others just because of the hassle. But the time you end up buying what you need and the time it take, you’re better off just spending the money on one that carbon or already painted

Looks goodMy wrx paint sucks. The hood vent and the trunk lid wing clear coat is coming off and is discolored. I thought that I would try this hood scoop instead of repainting. I guess it works. I would recommend buying new plastic hood insulation retainers at the same time. Mine fell apart when installing the scoop. By the way, the screen in the front of the scoop is black plastic. Not silver metal. Also, it’s not carbon fiber.
