I bought this in 2010 for first time grandson. We have progressed through all sizes now and having arrived @ 4/4 we have always bought Kun. The later purchases were for rests with collapsible forks, which is a good idea for a less roomy (shaped) case where it might not easily fit. I myself have had a 4/4 Kun for years with no regrets.

My 7 year old is easily able to slip the kun on and off during lessons and practice sessions. It suits the purpose well by elevating the violin enough for her to be able to rest her chin and play without interruptions. The one improvement I would suggest is marking the left and right since she sometimes gets confused :) Good buy, though, I would greatly recommend this.

My daughter loves this. It is a great size. If you play the violin or viola you know that Kun is a great shoulder rest and you can't go wrong. I was nervous that this would end up being too large for her, but it has worked out great and gives her much more stability than a sponge. I feel like her posture has improved with it's use.

Bought this for my son's junior violin, and it fits really good. It is simple to assembly and attach to violin. Also, it is really light, though this makes it feel cheapy.

Our daughter's violin instructor highly recommended Kun because if anything happens to them the replacement parts are available. But so far they are so sturdy they are holding up well!

Was recommended to us by a music teacher. It fit the violin perfectly with the result that our little violinist is much more comfortable with her violin. That equates to more productive training and practice sessions. So yes, we are very happy with this purchase!

For whatever reason, this smaller version is neither as durable nor as comfortable for the user as their famous and excellent full sized unit. The cushion area does not stretch out as far as the supports which hold it onto the violin itself, making it hard to position it properly on my child's neck/collarbone area. Seems flimsier also than their full sized model, which I've enjoyed for many years.
