Decent coil spring compressor. bought to replace the struts on my wife’s 2011 chevy malibu. didn’t end up needing them but still tried them out. They were sturdy and have locks so they can’t slip off coil. For light duty coil springs id absolutely use these compressors over and over again. fast shipping and good price

Worked fine. A little cheap in the construction, namely the safety pins and the wire loops to pull them out when finished. The wire loops are malleable and easily deform, requiring then a plier to pull them loose. The tool itself was sturdy enough to fully compress the substantial springs on the Lexus and to a serious degree. Didn't bend or anything. Had to repeat the process like four times (don't ask) and the tool allowed this. It's in decent shape and could be used again if needed, so, for the price, good. Saved a bunch of money.

These worked great for compressing the spring on my struts. I especially liked the safety pin that locks them in place.

This applies to almost all other McPherson spring compressors of this shape. The design is just unintuitive and can lead to accidents. This thing snapped twice on me while installing and compressing the springs. I spent over 10 hours fighting the spring. The tools eventually stripped the threads and I did not know. I regret buying this. I ended up buying a pre-assembled spring compressor which, turned out to be very cheap and fast (~$150.00 for front Mercedes c-250 w204 struts).
