Full strength it's opaque even over dark backgrounds or paint, and works really well for correcting mistakes. It's water soluble so it can be diluted for highlights, etc.

I almost didn’t purchase because of the reviews but my love for Kuretake made me tap “buy nowâ€. It’s thick, you need to stir well and dilute if you’re going to use it with a dip pen. It’s super highly pigmented and works beautifully correcting watercolor mistakes. I’m very happy with this purchase!

This is a fabulous product!! I use it a lot while drawing, painting, etc. This is like they emptied out a whiteout bottle in a jar. And you can just dip something tiny in it to correct a mistake,. And you don't see through it at all! I was drawing a really pretty picture and I messed it up with permanent ink and I was disappointed and I thought I had to throw it away and start over. This stuff came to the rescue and covered it all up and then I just drew on top of it and no one would ever know but you! You can also use it as a highlight too!

This ink was smooth and opaque. I used it to mimic surf and foam on a watercolor painting. It applied and stated white, it was not altered by the colors it was applied over.

I paint watercolors. This opaque white ink is just what I need occasionally for my paintings. It's great for animal paintings.

I love this paint a lot that I got from Zig Kuretake. It’s incredible because you can manipulate it and it’s very versatile, all you have to do is deluge it with water a little and you can have a great gradient level of paint with it, I’m definitely buying this again if I run out, it’s also very white when you apply it, keep it mind though, it dries kinda fast but that’s okay cause I’m used manipulating paints at my disposal 👌

My teacher highly recommended this ink for correcting errors in a watercolor. It can be painted over once it dries or used as a white in the painting.

This is a very useful addition to a water colour artist’s kit. We try hard to preserve the white of the paper but for some paintings you just can’t do that. In the example I included here you can see how I have used the ink ( it’s more like a paint) to add whiskers after the dog has been painted. You can get lovely opaque lines.

Bright white, opaque, no greying. Forms a sort of plasticky surface. Used to paint the window reflection (top left) where I forgot to leave paper, and couldn't lift well enough. Might paint this again - but better! You can watercolour paint over e.g. bright yellow-green leaves.
