This may be slightly small - doesn't seem 12 inches, but I didn't measure it so it probably is. Regardless of the size, the design and embellishments definitely make the difference. It's made well and is a quality piece, love all the beautiful embellishments! If you are a fan of Mardi Gras, it fits perfectly with all the jewels and colors. I love it and as I mentioned, it is a favorite of mine. (I'm trying to delete a review that was actually for a different supplier on a return that looks like it ended up on this one, so hopefully I can because it was in no way for this item.)

I have a collection of nut crackers, this was an obvious addition for anyone living in New Orleans. I also have family members collecting nut crackers and each one I have given as a gift has been treasured.
