I ordered 4 sets (2 packs) of these socks mainly for my 3 girls for their first ski trip. The fit was good to big as my girls are sizes kids 1, 4, 6. All three girls said their feet were warm and comfortable. At the end of the day when removing their boots, I was very happy with how warm their feet felt. I would buy these again and for myself if they had adult sizes

I think if you're really going arctic you'd still want something wool but these did the trick for us. My kid was as comfy as she could be in her ski boots, and never complained of cold toes.

I dont really like skiing -- it bores me, but even I know these are not legit, 25 runs, out on the slopes all day socks. I know they are labeled that way, but these are more just amazingly comfy, snazzy looking winter socks for your stylish young'ns.They remind me of my fancy Happy Socks (athletic style) which I wear during the winter. It's nice that they are thick and cozy for our Great Lakes chill, but they are not super crazy wool hiker style, which are not as fun, and can lead to swamp foot, when wearing with winter boots and inside school or the mall for a while.Hitting that sweet spot between thick enough to keep your dogs from freezing -- but not so arctic certified that they make you sweat, is essential.The craftsmanship is also legit -- the teal detail pic shows the stitch work, and the blue detail shows only minimal pilling after a couple of washes on Hot, as well as hot dryer setting. Will last a couple of winters for my active careless daredevil daughter for sure.
