I bought the 7/8 wt fly reel for steelhead fishing. The technique I am using for steelhead fishing is jigging, so I need a very light fly reel along with my switch rod. The Kylebooker fly reel is just what I need. I checked the brake of the reel. Very smooth!!! This will help me control and land steelhead successfully. The coating of the reel is also beautiful and durable. Very impressive! For this price, you can not find a better fly reel than it. Strongly recommend!!!

I have bought many fly reels over the years, all from Ovis, Cabelas, or local fly shops. But recently I started to buy from Amazon. Although I started with very low expectations because I was told they are usually not that good, I bought this one knowing this company produces other decent products. To my little surprise, this reel turned out to be quite good. It has a smooth drag and decent frame. I like the fact that it is not heavy. I think I am going to use this reel for a while.

The reel works well, but it's far from LARGE. I had to take some of the backing off in order to get my sinking line to fit.
