So, the cylinder is very good, fits & works, but I had to remove the latch from the original lock and put it on the new cylinder in order to lock the mailbox door. Therefore, this item is only the cylinder with keys, not an entire lock. For it to be properly termed a lock, it would need a moveable latch or different sized latches which are not included.

Keys very difficult to insert. You have to actually tilt the key downwards to get it to go in. Very hard key entry The lock is of very poor quality.

The mechanism seems to work fine but it doesn't come with the piece of metal for latching. My original one is bent so this is useless to me.

Overall, this worked as a replacement to my existing mailbox lock… so that’s great. In comparing quality to the existing lock to this replacement, it was far less superior.. that’s all. Works but seemed lesser quality and durability
