for my 2024 ford f-150 xl 5L std cab short bed, I would need to cut some material fromthe underside of bed for clearance at 500 miles I will weight a while then do so cutting

They actually 3"-4" longer from original shackles of 2024 F150 but that actually better because back now sits nice and even with front . 3" is max you can do 4" hole makes spring contact the bed. Everything fits nicely with hardware that was in the package but I was able to make hole on one side little bigger to fit original bolt on the top of shackle. Quality is also pretty good, nice even welds ,pretty thick metal used. All over great lowering shackles for a good price.P.STo remove the top bolt you need to remove bottom bolt first and jack your truck from the tow hitch all the way up until back side of the spring touches the underside of the bed . They are well made and wish they did work to be a tad lower un rear but did not fit.

Pretty easy to install, have to cut out some of the bed cross support. Looks really good on my 2021 f150. Just what I wanted
