Well made, seems strong and good materials. Like others said, it pretty much beat itself out of the box, and was scratched up. Oil drain and filter access is the best thing ever!

2022 sr5. There seem to be 3 very similar skid plates on amazon for slightly different prices, so I spent some time researching. One of them has reviews that say the rivnuts on ths oil change door are not preinstalled, so I crossed that one off the list. I took a chance on the laformo over the lostar because of the negative lostar reviews. The lostar was $20 cheaper than this laformo. The only reason I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because I did receive one stamped with lostar on the part not laformo part as described in listing. I would have ordered the lostar skid plate and saved the $20, not from this listing described as laformo trd pro skid plate. The part I received is excellent for almost half what the Toyota oem part costs.I read most of the reviews for the 3 skid plates before installation. Was worried about the bolts not threading properly from the various reviews. The included instructions are not very good. I read on one helpful review that the smallest bolts go in the back, the longest with long spacers in middle and the mediums in front. I noticed the smallest bolts seem too small for the rear holes, but no problem once everything is lined up.I did jack the front of the truck onto jack stands. I used my floor jack to raise the skid plate into place. Before trying to put the skid plate in place, I put thread sealant on the bolts and finger threaded all of them into place to make sure of fit because of all the reviews indicating potential issues with the threads. I had no issues finger tightening all the bolts at least half a dozen turns. What seemed to work best for me was to just get the middle bolts threaded a few turns, then the rear and then the front (I had to push the plate all the way up to get the front bolts started). Then I snugged them all up in the same order, and finally used the torque wrench at 33 ft lbs. Probably took about an hour being extra careful.

Did not receive the small screws for the cover to take the oil filter Plate Down.

So I was very questioned about this skid plate but after one of the comments said that it fits an SR model. I said screw it I’ll buy it and see if it will fit. The package arrived in a shitty box that had been tapped over and over again. Took it out the packaging and I did find a little bit of damage but nothing major. I mean come on for the price with a little bit of damage from FedEx I can deal with it. It’s going to keep my truck more safe vs the stock OEM one that was 1/8th inch of steel. The bag of bolts line up and the instructions are easy by looking at the pictures. So if anyone buys this skid plate. Medium bolts with spacers up front, larger bolts in the middle and small skinny bolts in the rear. Thanks now to take here off-roading soon 😎

I understand this is knock off of the OEM plate. So I don’t expect perfection. The packaging as mentioned in other posts took a beating and some of the bolts were missing. Not a big deal for a guy with buckets of project bolts looking for a new home but if you don’t have your own supply be aware! The instructions need a 5th grader to rewrite them. They are poorly written and wrong in regards to telling you which bolts to remove. The four main bolts do line up properly but the two rear bolts do not and mine needed spacers. (Insert surplus hardware previously mentioned). The plate itself seems high quality but I am concerned if I do push on something the rear smaller bolts will give. I don’t rock crawl, just old dirt farm roads.Giving it 3 stars due to the above issues. This is a good plate for someone doing light off road or who just wants an easy access door to the oil pan. Good luck!

This seems to be a well made product. Fit was great and the instructions easy to understand. However, I have a 3" lift on my truck that includes shims to lower the transfer case. The shims that come with this kit do not allow for this. You will need to find longer shims. I used about 6 washers to fill in the space until I can get the correct length shims.

-Update, after a winter with this on and in the garage most of the time, the screws for the oil drain plug panel were rusted in place. I got two out, but the other two the heads stripped so I am waiting on a kit to remove them. To reach them easier I will have to take off the whole skid plate. This will give me a chance to replace with the OEM bolts that you can find here on amazon. The other bolts didn't rust, so I am wondering why these four were different and rusted.Looks good, with the difficulty of the hardware I will wait until I have to remove it and then paint it to match the quicksand. It does need to be removed to drain the front dif. The plastic washers to keep the bolts and spacers up are worthless, thankfully they give you two extra (smirk) cause they will likely break. I test fit the bolts before install, some went in easy some did not. Once I got the plate up to mount it, using a jack, I found it was easier to start with the back bolts then the front. The middle bolts, for me, were the hardest to line up. When I do take it off I will either replace them with other bolts or get the OEM bolt package. I do have the Sport model, can confirm it fits. From the looks of it, you may not have to remove the air dam at all, but you can't take the air dam off with this plate in place as it covers a few of the screws. Install probably took just over an hour making sure the screws fit and that I had taken out the correct ones in the first place. Don't bother with most of the instructions. Google install of the pro plate and that'll do you minus the torque specs, those are in the instructions.

The plate having separate spacers make it crazy hard to put on yourself.

The plastic retainers are kinda useless and the bolt heads are a different size than OEM but they all fit. Was missing the 4 smaller bolts and came with washers that didn't fit anything but it's holding my skid plate on so it does what I need it to do
