I'm very happy with these shakers. They are reasonably sturdy (especially for this price range), the tops screw on easily and the lids fit snugly, which should help with keeping salt from clumping up. The holes are just large enough for kosher salt so I'm quite happy with that. I've got one with pink salt, one kosher salt, one with MSG so far and I'm very happy with the results I've been getting from using these shakers and I love the lids. For labeling them, I was very lazy and just wrote on the plastic lids with a sharpy as it's not very likely I'll ever use the shakers for anything other than what I'm using the for now. The salts are my main reason for purchasing these shakers.The metal is a bit thin but does it really need to be very thick for this purpose? I can't see any reason these won't last me for years so I'm satisfied with the purchase and I can recommend them.

Just started baking again a few months back & these are perfect & they have lids & handles! I use them for flour dusting, small amounts of accessory ingredients, so I don't have to keep going to canisters, jars or bags - like baking soda, salt, sugars, peppers, spices, cinnamon, cornstarch, etc. Not a lot of counter space, so I bought a small 3 tiered wheeled cart to keep all my baking items on & close by to my work space. they fit perfectly on the top tier for ready access. Easy to clean, dry to keep from rusting, good price!

Due to my own error, I purchased these shakers and they are smaller than I would have preferred. I am making Paula Deens house seasoning for my son's in law and grandson's as Father's Day gifts and filling the shakers along with the recipe. They are all wonderful BBQ enthusiasts and that seemed like a gift they could use. These are really too small for that purpose, but I think they can repurpose them with cinnamon sugar for toast.

These things are absolutely hell to screw & unscrew -- even with the tool I have to deal with tight jar lids. I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in this purchase & will be looking much closer at the details in the picture when ( replace them -- which will be ASAP. I have another set that works beautifully ... but these things are total trash ... which is where they're going as soon as I empty the contents. DO NOT BUY THESE. YOU'LL REGRET IT. I sure do.
