It's amazing what an extra foot of height makes! This item is replacing a one-foot-high wooden bed that has rotted, and the size difference is noteworthy! I went with the taller bed for ease of future gardening and maintenance, but it's still surprisingly large (a happy surprise!)My saint of a sister assembled this for me (me recently out of hospital) by hand (no gloves, no tools save for what was in the kit, bless her!) She did so without incident (save for a minor blood sacrifice which often bodes well for successful completion of projects lol). (NB: please do wear gloves during assembly due to sharp edges). I am going to go back over the 80 (!) nuts which she initially has hand tightened with a power socket /drill to tighten them up before commencing the bed project. She built in in the garage on a sunny day; it did take two of us to lift the completed project out to the yard (tipped sideways through the door). She did remark that she feared that she had built a 'boat in a basement' (built a project too big to leave through available egress points) but it will go through a standard door (in addition to a garage door) with no issues). The bed is reinforced with center wires with small turnbuckles - I appreciate that as some other beds that I've used can become 'floppy' in the center. We will be using the base from the original raised bed that it is replacing, along with large branches (that are not diseased) that are too big for the city landscape recycling program or our small mulcher/chipper. That will save on some of the yards of soil required to fill this bed.A quality product from a quality brand, with easy assembly. Will buy again!

Ordered 5 of these. So far have assembled 4 of them. Instructions are not very clear, especially attaching the center rods. Easily assembled by one person. It appears there are spares of some of the hardware but may be missing some nuts. That's were the instructions could use some clarification as you can get around the lack of nuts by using the piece for the center rod. I'm guessing it's going to take about 2 yards of soil to fill one so I'm going to be busy. Beware, edges are sharp.

Instructions aren’t very great, for easy assembly put long sides together first, attach corners to short side then prop long side up against something attach short sides then attach 2nd long side, put cables on last.I recommend putting in some 3ft fence posts around the box to improve the rigidity, I plan on drilling holes and installing brackets to mount it to the posts.Parts came slightly damaged at the corners, I just bent them back slightly. This will do the job, hopefully lasts longer than my old wood one I replaced with this one.

Quick delivery but not as strong as I would like, hardware wasn't all there, there is no rubber trim for top very sharp. They were bent on some of the corner and corner panels but that was from the delivery drivers is my guess. These are my first medal raised beds,I will try them and see how they work. The assembly was easy by myself. Sorry I couldn't give more stars.Maybe for the price there are not so bad.

I am very pleased with this bed. Most raised beds are only 1' tall, but this one is 2' tall, which makes it suitable for deep root crops like carrots, parsnips, potatoes, and asparagus. The smaller beds were a lighter gauge steel, so they felt kind of flimsy, but the Land Guard bed is very sturdy, and the corners are strong. It is very well designed, and was easy to put together. When you calculate cost per square foot of the smaller beds (6'x2'x1') compared to the Land Guard bed (8'x4'x2'), the cost per square foot of the Land Guard is about 1/4 the cost of the smaller bed, so you are getting a great value for the price, even though it seems more expensive. I have bought 3 of them so far, and am considering buying another couple of them. They are easy to reach without having to do much bending over, which is good for my back. I fill the bottom (about 1/4 of the way full) with old branches and partially rotted tree trunks because it helps to retain water, and because I don't need to add as much soil (a cost savings). The wood will break down and release nutrients over the next several years, and I'll only need to top the beds off with some compost to fill them up as the wood shrinks. Overall, it has been a great purchase.

The product was unboxed and assembled with relative ease. I watched YouTube videos first which provided some good tips on sequencing it. The instructions do not provide this info. I had plenty of screws and bolts. Recommend that you do make the screws tight which increases sturdiness.

Arrived undamaged packaged well. Basically, this is a good kit with a good concept. Corners went together well and finish well. The PROBLEM is that the center rods that connect the side to keep them from bulging out when filled with dirt are not long enough. The finished product is slightly bent in at the center where rods go. NEEDS longer rods with better adjustment to correct this problem. Kit had lots of screws but short 8 nuts. I would buy again but would replace center rod with something else.

Don't waste your time or money on this product. Poorly formed thin metal that doesn't fit well together.
