Purchased this product to mount next to the door to teach my dogs to ring the bell so they can be let out to go to the restroom. The bell is loud enough that it gets everyone's attention. My personal downside to the bell, it's loud enough to get everyone's attention, meaning that if it gets mistakenly bumped, it jingles.The product is quite sturdy and honestly the sturdiness has been tested quite a few times because of the way I have mounted it. Dogs trip over the bell, fell on it a couple of times(its mounted out of the way, I just have derpy dogs), and even got hit with a soccer ball at one point.If someone bought this product for their shop, I would expect it to be around for quite some time.

Kind of small and not much noise. You have to move the door hard to hear it. Each time the mailman come in and there was no sound at all. It ok to look at and that about it . Do not work for me.

This bell is loud enough to hear from two rooms away which is exactly what I needed. The movement of the door alone did not achieve this, so I mounted it where the top of the arc was 1/4" above the inside edge of the door frame, to ring the bell more vigorously when the door opens and closes.

I wanted a WHITE colour shopkeepers bell to train our dog when I came across this one on Amazon.I ordered it, it arrived quickly and I couldn't be happier. The bell is just the right size, not too big, not too small.We mounted it about a foot from the floor and within 2 days our dog was trained and would ring the bell consistently whenever she needed to go outside to go potty.The quality of this bell is good and the mounting strap is stiff and sturdy, not like some others I've tried.I've purchased the GoGo brand shopkeepers bell and don't recommend that one the mounting strap is way too thin.I had good luck with the FTVOGUE shopkeepers bell also. It's well made and works great.Overall during my shopping expedition I learned that the pictures on the ads all look the same but not all shopkeepers bells are created equal.I would recommend the Lanier White Shopkeepers bell and would buy it again.If you're looking for a Black bell ... I did purchase the FTVOGUE bell and found that one to be good too.These bells really work great for doggie training. If you get one good luck training ... you should see results in a few days!
