Sometimes you just need to have a good solid base to work from -- this Reading Rest works great when you are typing notes you've hand written, or transferring text into a document. I love it! Just got it in fact -- but it is a sturdy piece -- meta., and well made -- color is really nice! TEAL BLUE - It folds back into a flat piece so you can put it in a drawer or in your attache if you need to take it with you. I like that! I have worked in offices all my life, and I teach, so I need this for redoing notes for classes, and most of my notes are taken long hand before they are typed into a final product for a class. This is a good investment. You'll have it forever! Reminds me of the old GSA supplies, in those days they were all gray in color, but they were made to last and could go through all kinds of use and abuse and still work. That is the sturdiness of this product, only it's nicer to look at . You should buy one! It is a good price and a good investment. You'll have it for years and years.

I loved the height of this stand. I love that it is metal so it holds my magnets.The only things I wish this had was one more slot to make the stand an inch higher and a solid piece over the front of the louvers.The louver open spaces in the middle prevent my magnet ruler from sticking well over that area.

I like to read several newspapers with my morning coffee. After carefully researching some of the smaller devices designed to hold an iPad in the portrait orientation, this is the only solution that actually keep the iPad in place ... unless of course you are not using a case with your iPad

It works, and to be fair it does show the product exactly as youll recieve it, but once it got here it did feel a bit more clunky and industrial than I was expecting. 6/10, still serves its purpose well, but if you genuinely plan to use this to hold books up that you will be actively reading, get a bamboo or wood stand for the extra price, itll be much more worthwhile.

I use this to support my cookbook while cooking. It easily holds my cookbook, from the smallest to a large three-ring binder, regardless of which one I’m using. Because of its large size, it can be used to hold a single sheet of 8.5†x 11†piece of paper (good for when I’m making a recipe I downloaded & printed). The brace on the front holds the paper or book in place. The tilt of the stand is easy to adjust. I really like that it folds nearly flat, so I can stash it on the shelf with my cookbooks when not being used - no countertop clutter. Though the color is not a true blue (it looks like a dark marine blue next to my cobalt blue stand mixer) I have no problem with that. It does what I need it to do quite well, & I have no complaints.
