Project Size: 3.25” x 3.25” square Recommended Microwave Wattage: 1000+ Important Facts to Remember: First Firing: The kiln must be pre-fired prior to first use. Place the complete empty kiln with lid on top in the microwave and run for 3-4 minutes on high. When finished, remove the kiln and let it cool. The kiln is now ready for use. Before Each Firing: Remember to put kiln paper on the base of the kiln prior to firing the project or glass will stick to the base. During Use: Always wear heat resistant gloves and eye protection when handling kiln. After Use: Let kiln rest/cool for 30-60 minutes. This not only protects the user but allows the glass to anneal properly which reduces the chance of the project cracking.

The glass did not melt. Although the return was approved, the company (Rainbow Glass) charges a 50% restocking fee on kilns and I have to pay for return shipping!
