Unless you need to use a sewing machine, there is room in this box for all of your sewing supplies. It comes with a few basics. Very good quality padded, sturdy box with a tray in it for small items.

I never knew sewing boxes were so expensive or I would have grabbed my Grandmother's when I had the chance years ago. However, I ordered this one because for the price it was big, sturdy, and full of all the things you need to start sewing.

This is a great one to gift and not be ashamed of it's contents! I've given those Singer sewing baskets to some of my grand-daughters and was so upset with the sewing notions that were inside. This basket is something to be proud of and the sewing notions are great for beginners! I would buy this again the color was so.... Beautiful and the threads were decent all in all for the price you get a nice basket!
