This is a perfect fit, because Eljer has a 2.27" opening, NOT a universal 2" and will cause premature leaks. This will not pop off the tank or slip out of place when you seat the tank, but please, please spare yourself a lot of hassle and stress and replace the inner tank gasket, the gasket in the flange underside tank and this particular gasket at the same time as one will wreck the others and then your floor. You should probably replace the flapper or if you have a piston style, replace that gasket at the same time. Easy cheap fixes.You can't find this gasket in stores so order it here and stop the water waste and high water bills from a leak.I hope this helps someone else who is losing their minds with a water leak.

I tried replacing the gasket on my Eljer toilet tank with a generic gasket. It wobbled around, so I replaced it with this gasket and it solved the problem. I should have done this in the first place, but the gasket was not available locally. I had to order it.

I have an older Eljer Emblem toilet model 141-1175, it's compact and fits the space. This gasket was a perfect replacement to the original that started leaking. The rubber washers that come with this hardware package were missing though, it looks like the bag the hardware comes in was resealed, think I received a returned item and someone took them out, fortunately I had purchased the Fluidmaster 400AKCR all-in-one universal toilet tank repair kit and used the rubber washers from the kit. We found the gasket in the fluidmaster kit was a bit too think, hence the purchase of this gasket. Overall I'm happy, I have a 2nd Eljer toilet and will use this gasket and Fluidmaster parts for that one as well.

Well, if you order this for the right toilet, it fits perfect. The only issue with this set, it should have two flat washers for The Nut side.
