I thought I might have to take the screw out and install the bottom part of this but all I had to do was stick it on, it snapped right into place. I only needed one but they came in package of two. Now I have an extra in case a little one carries off another one.

Snapped right onto the decades old bases that were already on the toilet, so I didn't even need to mess with unbolting to replace the bottom halves.

I was looking for a different color. These are white. Despite the stark white color, it is okay to use.

I don't care what toilet you have, buy the tallest version of these caps that you can. I looked up my toilet online and found what caps should go on it, and these were almost identical to the picture I'd found on another website that showed the correct caps. But I don't think they ended up being correct.Even after reading reviews stating how high your bolts need to be sticking out for these to fit I found these to be too small as the bolt would hit the top before it was secure. So yep, out came the hacksaw to cut off most of the bolt in order for these to fit. Once the bolt was small enough for this to fit over the top, it was still no easy task to get it to "snap" into place on the base that came with it. The right side went on fine with a bit of force, but the left side had me using my non-dominant hand crammed in a corner next to the wall with absolutely no leverage to gain enough force to press down and get it to snap in place. What seems like something that could have been so simple took me an hour and a lot of sweat to put in place. If I ever have to replace these again, the whole toilet is getting replaced, and it'll probably take me less time to install. Oh, and my toilet is ceramic white, but these caps are "plastic" white, so they're more of a whitish gray, so they don't match the toilet very well. Also, buy some plumber's putty while you're at it. I didn't have any so I just used what was left over from taking the old base off around the bolts and it was sticky enough to suffice.Overall I'd say 1 out of 5 stars for matching your white toilet, 1 out of 5 stars for fitting any toilet, 1 out of 5 stars for installation ease, and 4 out of 5 stars for fitting snug and staying in place once you do get it on. At least now when I clean my toilet I don't have to get my paper towel ripped by a rusty bolt.

Maybe you have to be a guy to know some stupid secret code to get these things to fit, but they came with NO instructions, just a picture & my bolts dont fit under these little domes. I thought it would be OK since it said "universal" in the product description. Total waste of money for me & I still have those ugly bolts coming out of base of toilet & snagging the mop every time I try to do bathroom floor. Complete disappointment with this purchase.
