Before I say anything else, I want to say that I love the fact that the bottle has a 'lift me to smell' tab on the top. This a is a genius idea! Also, this product came amazingly fast and was wrapped in an adorable way.Once I opened the oil up and filled my new lamp berge 2/3 the way, I let the wick sit (with the converter capped) the obligatory 20 minutes. I then lit and waited for two minutes to let the converter heat up. After I blew out the flame, the converter released some odd puffs off smoke that I'd never seen but the scent was lovely - beachy and relaxing. However, after the first few minutes that lovely scent turned into something strange that reeked of straight rubbing alcohol. I'd never had this experience with my other lamp berger so thought that maybe the design for the one I purchased was flawed. So, I filled my older lamp with the same scent to test it. Unfortunately, the same thing happened and the puffs of smoke came back and the smell of rubbing alcohol just got stronger.So, while this wasn't expensive product, I'm really disappointed that I can't use it because a) I loved the initial two minutes of scent and b) the 'official' lamp berge oil is so freaking expensive.
