I bought the LP Duro due to it's high reviews on how durable it is and after going through many beaters I will say that this one is virtually unbreakable. The sound it produces is fantastic. Less work and more sound.

This thing is indestructible! I first bought the wooden LP beater for $8 and it lasted me just a few months. I’ve been using mine at least twice a week for almost year and it is still solid (with several scratches- but it is normal).I’ll probably buy another one as soon as mine is useless (probably a long time from now)Edit: 6/12/2021- the beater is still going strong, no need to replace yet.Edit: 12/20/2024- I have bought another one as a replacement but I have not used it. The beater now looks chewed out, but still solid. I am still using it often.Something to consider... this beater makes my bell sound very bright and LOUD. I have been using a wooden one (LP268) for smaller venues.

I did not purchase this for its intended purpose. I did, however, purchase it to add "more cowbell" to certain activities in my life. It was a birthday gift for a very dear friend. I have to say that it's had a tremendous impact on our relationship. Now, whenever my friend desires, he can add more cowbell to moments between us. The beater performs just as other reviewers said it would -- it stands up to heavy use, produces a pleasant tone, and feels comfortable in the hand.In short, I recommend the Latin Percussion LP269 Duro Cowbell Beater for all sorts of situations -- including intimate ones -- where more impact is needed. Especially more cowbell. *nod*

Bought it out of curiosity. Made of some kind of very hard fiber that should make it last for a long time if not forever. A little on the heavy side. I had to put grip tape so it wouldn’t fly out of my hand. It makes the campana to sound brighter Than the wood stick. Haven’t made up my mind yet so 3 stars for now.
