Product Function
1 Hour Meter (TOT)
- When the equipment vibrates,display shows the total running time of the machine.
- The total hour reading display range is 0-99999H, 0.1H/1H accuracy.
- Show auto sleep to save power;storage data automatically when turning off the screen,accumulate readings.
- TOT hours cannot be reset.
2 JOB timer (PAR)
- Used to measure partial the work time,such as changing the oil.
- Display the JOB running time of the engine by operating the button.
- JOB timer reading shows 0-99,999H,0.1H/1H accuracy.
- JOB timer can be reset.
3 Programmable vibration sensitivity
- Includes two vibration sensitivity options: LO (low) /HI (high).
- LO (low),suitable for equipment with less vibration, whose vibration frequency is greater than 32 Hz.
- HI (high),suitable for equipment with greater vibration, whose vibration frequency is greater than 4 Hz.
- Two sensitivities can also be selected for use on the same machine to obtain accurate timing data.

Using this hour counter on an old-fashioned basic generator is dead simple, since pretty much the entire thing vibrates plenty to make this activate. And the counter tells you when it's time to change the oil or spark plugs or clean the air filter.The only thing is that it doesn't seem like there's a good way to change the battery it comes with, which they say lasts 3 years.

This is a no fuss, no muss product that just works. I've been testing it out on my ride-on lawn tractor, but since it already has one, I don't need it to stay there.I plan to either put it on my furnace to keep track of how often it runs, or maybe on my snowblower to keep track of oil changes. Or maybe I'll just get another one and use one for each. I hope the adhesive mount holds up in the snow.I like that it has a lock out mode that will prevent it from recording when you want to. A scenario for this would be when you're transporting the item being tracked.One thing to note is that the battery is not replaceable. It claims to last for 3 years with normal use, but it doesn't say if that is 3 years of run time or 3 calendar years. I suspect calendar years.

Using this on an electric motor driven shop air compressor. Works great once you find the sweet spot to activate it, as it "wakes up" from vibration. I just used masking tape and tried a few likely spots on my compressor until I found the most "active" location. From there on in, it's all automatic.Good product.
