Broke a bolt taking off the water pump on my Avalanche. There was about 1/4" of the threads sticking out from the cast iron block. I soaked it in liquid wrench for a day and this worked like a charm.

As a pro subaru tech I have an entire drawer of extractors and thread repair tools, sometimes they are just too mangled for that, this tool will absolutely get the stud out.Pros: -Cheap -Solid construction -Grips WELL -Socket wrench insert on shaftCons: -The teeth wear kind of fast -Semi large for some circumstances -Probably 10 breaker bar level uses before needing new one

It worked and removed the stud. Be sure and soak it well with PB blaster or other penetration fluid first. The bolt had been on the truck for 21 years and broken when trying to replace the starter. 20 foot pounds of torque over 21 years of rust turned into about 400lbs to get it off. Once the bolt broke, it was easier to get the penetration fluid right in there and then this tool took it out. Hooray!

This is a good tool for the handyman who is working with MINOR stuck bolts. I needed to remove rusty body mount bolts on a 19985 Jeep. Did not work at all. Broke on the first bolt.

Using impact wrench and this LCGP Damaged Bolt and Stud Extractor tool, was able to remove stuck manifold stud on 2000 Toyota Camry V6. Would recommend this tool. First, I tried using breaker bar but this tool was slipping out from the stud so I switched using impact wrench and did it, see photos. Highly recommend!

This item is very big in size. It can not fit in any tight spots to retract the bolt.
