I recently had a baby and have been preparing a nursery for the last few months. I have been collecting nature-themed items: lots of mushrooms, trees, owls, foxes, hedgehogs, bears, etc. for the room. I found a curtain rod that had leaves on the ends, and knew I wanted curtain tie backs for the room. I looked to see if I could find something that matched and these worked great! The finish is brassy but is well done and not showing any wear. They attached easily into the wall with two screw holes on each loop. We decided to install it at an angle. See my pictures.

I love these! They are so much bigger than I expected. I think a lot of other reviewers don't read the instructions fully, so when they are trying to turn the leaves, they are not loosening the screw properly. (It's a lot like when you install a towel ring or toilet paper holder). They are durable and stylish. Installing them was a little bit of extra work because you absolutely need to remove the leaves first. But after that, it's a breeze.

I apologize for the bad lighting in the photo. I purchased the nickel-colored ones and they are beautiful. I just wanted to show how one looks pulling back a semi-sheer curtain. Does a great job. I’m not sure why the page says “frequently returned item.†Maybe they don’t know how to use the tool to position the leaves in the correct direction? I am hoping to purchase a few more of these in the future. I am a renter so I secured them with flat nickel-colored thumbtacks so the wall wouldn’t be too damaged.

Arrived on time. Hooks came in protective sleeves, which is good - but can slide about in their box a bit, so should have a bit more padding to keep them better during transport. Nevertheless - they arrived fully intact, without damage. They look really nice and are pretty well done. There is a diffuse matte in the center of the larger leaves; looks a little like their fogged there, when the rest of the item is a consistently shiny gold. Fortunately, it is not at all obvious; in fact, this flaw is somehow completely hidden to the eye except upon close inspection and at certain angles / in certain light. So I can let that slide. There is very minor bubbling in a spot or two, but again - not visible in general. Except for these things, they are well and evenly done. Looks very pretty.They come faced flush for shipping, but are made so that you can turn or even remove and switch, the finials. The instructions are simple, but lack ful clarity for beginners. You will need to drill a pilot hole before trying to hammer in the anchors. They do not tell you what size, which is stupid. You will have to discern that for yourself. I believe I ended up using a 3/16 drill bit... The nails are silver, and should be gold or brass to match the hooks. That said, when in use anyway - you won’t see them; also - as they kind of catch the surrounding gold tint a bit - the color difference isn't as obvious as you'd expect.In order to turn or remove the finials - you turn the lever to the LEFT a few paces, to release them. Then to tighten them again - you turn the lever to the RIGHT a few paces. It is unclear how many times you can do this without weakening the fit too much - so I wouldn’t do it more than a couple times, just in case. Neat feature, though.These are listed as being 6.69â€L and 6.5â€W. The latter is true, if measured from the tip of the largest leaf, and at a slant to the widest part of the arc; but I don’t know where they are getting the claim of length. No part of these hooks are that long. Or wide. From outer leaf to outer leaf, at their widest point, they are 4.25â€. From back to front at the widest point - they are 4.75â€. Overall, I am happy with these - but they should definitely tighten up on their coating jobs and instructions, and give more accurate measurements.

I loved these but I didn’t end up needing them so I sent them back. If I need curtain holds in the future I would absolutely purchase these again.

I'm using these as intended, for a curtain pullback in a bedroom window. As I installed it in the window frame it was exceedingly simple. I held it in place with one hand and predrilled both of the holes with my handheld drill. Swapped to my philips head bit and used the provided screws to fix them in place. It took me less than 5 minutes and they work really well.Being able to rotate the leaves on the end is a nice touch as you can tweak it to your taste and having that piece as a removable section is great planning. Instead of having to angle your screwdriver oddly or use a short socket set for it you have a straight path. Then reattaching the leaves is a few quick turns of the tiny provided allen wrench and you're done.Now they, the curtains, aren't lying there loos with the cats messing with them s they jump into the window sill! Love these!

Very nice! Comes with tool to loosen the end piece in order to place it where you need it. Matches my curtain rods perfectly! Love the leaves.
